As the founder of a company focused on parenting, I am intimately aware of the risks that children face on the internet. It’s why I make sure to speak to my 3 children about their online lives every single day. To me, it’s no different than asking them about their day in school.
I believe in the power of the internet to do incredible good. The way kids use the internet to explore, create, and learn is having a tremendous impact on the world. Kids are learning that nothing is impossible and that they have the power to create the future. It’s inspiring. But we need tools and resources to keep our kids safe to truly allow kids to make the most of what the internet has to offer.
Keeping kids safe online is one of the most important issues that we as parents face today. As parents, it's critical that we are prepared to teach our children how to protect themselves and others online, and that we empower ourselves with the tools and resources we need to help them do it.

Cyberbullying.org is the most up to date place to find best practices for cyberbullying prevention and response, statistics, news, and teaching resources. The website is packed full of material developed through over 15 years of research.
Be Internet Awesome is an incredible collection of games, tools, and resources put together by Google to teach kids the fundamentals of digital citizenship and safety. Google even created a world called Interland that gives kids hands on experience through four challenging and exciting games. In addition, Google provides excellent resources for parents and educators - including an internet safety pledge that parents can use to keep the entire family on the same page when it comes to how to behave online.
ConnectSafely.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating users of connected technology about safety, privacy and security. You’ll find research-based safety tips, parents’ guidebooks, advice, news and commentary on all aspects of tech use and policy.
The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children’s charity. They’ve teamed up with O2 to build a comprehensive program for parents and teachers to educate children about online safety. They’ve also set up an online safety hotline that can help you set parental controls, adjust privacy settings or get advice on social networks, or get advice about online safety.
